Update: Success in Getting 100% Portion of Matrimonial Properties For Our Client

On 7-9-2020, after our Partner Mr CM Lai made his submissions before the Court of Appeal, the Honourable Court affirmed the High Court's decision in favour of our client to order 2 matrimonial homes to be given in full portion to her.

We argued that the Appellant (Husband)'s payments for household expenses such as groceries and utilities bills did not count as contribution to the matrimonial homes itself.

The Court took the view that because he did not pay for the house instalments, he is not entitled to equal share of the matrimonial home.

We are pleased to help our client to safeguard her matrimonial properties which rightfully belonged to her.
